We are trying to be Bucket Fillers in our classroom
We enjoyed the story bu Carol Mc Clous called Have you filled a bucket today?
We heard how each one of us is carrying an invisible bucket which is filed with good feelings and positive thoughts . When we say or or do something nice we are feeling each others buckets but the magic thing is that when we do this we are filing our own bucket too. We feel happier about ourselves when we are being kind to others.
the opposite of bucket filling is bucket dipping. When we say unkind things or hurst other people's feelings we di their buckets and we also dip our own.
We are trying really hard to be bucket fillers and feel happy each day in school amd at home.

Learning about our 5 Senses
Sniff........ whiff .......... what's that smell ?!
Great fun guessing the smells today! Ms Quigley didn't agree with some people whose favourite smell was slurry or silage but maybe they weren't too fond of her best perfume either as we did the eyes closed smell test. We had lavender, perfume, mint, vanilla, curry powder, mouthwash, freshly cut grass to name but a few! Thankfully a certain farmer didn't follwo through on his threat of bringing some slurry in a jar to school!!!!
From one small seed in May to one giant sunflower in September.
It's Harvest Time... Fresh veg from the poly tunnel anyone?
We planted vegetables in our polytunnel last term. Thanks to our wonderful class last who kept the vegetables growing all summer through their diligent watering and weeding! We will start with our Autumn Winter planting shortly.
